Founded in 2016 by Yasuharu Kuzaki, ATON approaches everyday clothing through original textile development and meticulous Japanese craftsmanship. Working alongside local mills and artisans, the brand develops exclusive fabrics that prioritize quality, durability, and timeless design, allowing material innovation to define each collection rather than seasonal trends.
For S/S ’26, the collection continues this philosophy through a series of original fabrics developed across Japan. Tailoring is a particular highlight, with a plain weave of silk and linen from Shiga Prefecture that combines silk’s smooth touch and natural luster with the firmness and dry character of linen, bringing subtle texture and fluidity to relaxed jackets and trousers. A separate high-twist wool-and-linen fabric offers a lightweight, crisp hand that maintains the clean proportions of the collection’s semi-double tailoring. Elsewhere, technical nylons, cotton-washi knits, and naturally textured cottons continue to reinforce ATON’s emphasis on fabric development. At the same time, the handcrafted Leather Quilt Zori by Sekizuka reinterprets the traditional Japanese sandal through quilted leather construction.
