Founded in Tokyo in 2008, blackmeans combines Japanese leather craftsmanship with influences drawn from hardcore punk, motorcycle culture, and vintage Americana. Through hand-cutting, washing, distressing, studding, and printing, the brand has built a reputation for transforming traditional leatherwear into garments defined by texture, construction, and an evolving patina.
For F/W 26, blackmeans broadens its visual language beyond leather, introducing layered silhouettes that balance structured outerwear with relaxed knitwear, oversized shirting, and utilitarian separates. Proportions shift between cropped leather jackets, oversized varsity blousons, elongated duffle coats, and voluminous hooded outerwear, creating a wardrobe that feels rugged without sacrificing versatility. Color also plays a larger role this season, with vivid turquoise and mustard leather jackets, plaid wool outerwear, camouflage prints, and graphic varsity pieces punctuating the brand’s predominantly black palette.
