For his S/S ’21 campaign, Sayatomo Yashiki finds himself trekking through the forest, soaking in all of the sights and sounds and then translating those memories into his arduous knitwear designs.
Looking at the collection, there are plenty of highlights and distinct design intricacies that must be seen in person to appreciate fully. Their sazanami collar cardigan is crafted from 100% cotton and features the familiar plating knit designs incorporated down the jacket’s shoulder seams and body. Including this piece, most items highlight the medley of eastern and western influences Yashiki-san is drawing from. This gunjo hanten knit is cut on a slightly wider pattern block for proper layering and finished off with a jagged knit fabric with superfine irregularities. Overall, it’s nice to have a knitwear brand that has found a niche and steadily provides quality collections for its customer.
