After taking some time off to focus on—well, whatever the design team needed to focus on—YANTOR returns to full form with their A/W ’21 collection.
The overarching brand theme seems to flow into this campaign, focusing on nurturing local relationships, developing local fabrics, and experimenting with neighboring Asian fabrication processes. Persian and paisley patterns like this hoodie are pulled from Iranian and Indian cultures, while Jamdani (fine muslin textile) weaving and Khadi cotton are sourced straight from West Bengal. The Black Hmong of Vietnam, over generations, have become masters at sustainably producing their garments from hemp harvesting all the way to weaving and finally painting the piece. That’s why YANTOR sought their expertise to dye certain pieces in a special black indigo dye; the results were amazing, like this paisley jacket or this denim set.
