The team over at nonnative just began releasing their latest styles for autumn and spring, in-store at vendor and online at coverchord. Here’s what they had to say about the collection as a whole.
“Having travelled SOUTH, NORTH and WEST through the last few seasons, nonnative crosses the continent and lands EAST for Winter 2022 / Spring 2023. Following the mainly outdoor-focused landscapes of the previous collections, the EAST installment draws inspiration from the modern, urban setting of New York, where vibrant cultures and buzzing energy are found amongst the high-rise buildings and asphalt.
In line with the season theme, a toned down color palette of Cement, Navy and Black is interspersed with pops of vivid Magenta, Royal Blue and Yellow, which appear in the knitwear pieces and graphics to the tees and accessories. The vibrant colors also run subtly through the collection in the form of stitching, lining and piping details.
Heavy outerwear for the colder months include padded MA-1 style jackets, original wool twill coats and down jackets, all with GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ applied to shield against wind and rain. Lighter outerwear for Spring and a number of the pants models also feature a range of technical fabrics which provide lightweight, breathable water repellency, while the POLAERTEC® fleece overshirt and pants provide ultimate cozy comfort.
The Dweller range of pants were tweaked last season to provide a sleeker silhouette and fit. The cut and sewn pieces are made from a variety of different blended fabrics including wool and silk, designed for softness and warmth.
The EAST collection is the final installment in the series that has been touring the world since the 39th SOUTH collection. High-quality yarns and performance-driven technical fabrics have been used to ensure warmth and comfort, finished with clean lines in a modern and minimalist aesthetic.”
