Entering into each season with the absence of a concrete concept leaves designer Koji Akasaki with a strong sense of one’s designs. However, his global theme is clearly to allow the wearer the ability to feel as comfortable as humanly possible while going about their daily life. With those two thoughts in mind, each season builds upon the previous, and my beautiful landlet can cement themselves amongst the top androgynous brands coming out of Japan.
One highlight from this season includes these matching striped sets, constructed from the Japanese island-specific Typewriter cotton. If you’re not familiar with the fabric, it’s a 100% organic cotton whose weft is woven more densely and robust by using a traditional shuttle loom—subsequently creating a more compact plain weave shirting fabric.
