This Collection: We see a larger influence from BIG-O and his design techniques he used at Phenomenon. This collection is a perfect example of when two designers from different backgrounds come together, one with a formal history and the other with a bit more experimental background. It hasn’t been long since the brand came together, but their roots within the Tokyo streetwear culture have been spreading since the ’90s. BIG-O started Phenomenon in 2004 and Yuichi opened up his boutique The Contemporary Fix and restaurant Pariya, in 1996. For their latest venture, the duo creates a collection centered around the amalgamate of fabrics and deconstruction tailoring.
