FilMelange came into prominence a few years ago when they primarily focused on the basics of loungewear, including 100% organic cotton t-shirts, sweatshirts, and pants. The brand considers themselves a “house,” and that’s undoubtedly appropriate considering all design processes are completed within their confines. Their materials are almost always organic, and synthetic fibers are utilized on their cut and sew offerings. Which are in abundance due to the creative director, Yuki Ozaki’s mindset, being very particular about producing cut and sew and developing fabrics with their vintage hand-knitting looms. One of the main reasons as to why the house has been self-sustaining for this long is the fanfare that attaches itself to a brand that they know will continue to produce the same quality garments season-over-season.
