ENCENS debuted its first collection during the A/W ’20 season based on five principles and the concept that it is possible to produce quality clothing with appropriate value based on the producer’s experience, technology, and way of thinking. From what I can gather, the brand comprises various designers and pattern makers who have paved their way within the industry—coming together now to share their skills, experiences, and connections to fulfill the concept stated above.
Looking at the campaign for S/S ’20, we can see this philosophy in effect. With lightweight material choices like linen and long-staple cotton, paired with no-frill jackets, blazers, shirts, and trousers. Leaving the wearer with a sense of effortless style, with little thought of how to incorporate such pieces into their existing wardrobe.
