The team over at ROTOL return to full form for A/W ’21.
Some themes are extended into this collection and presumably will have recurring roles due to their popularity over the past three seasons. Most notably, the variety of face covers offered this season. With one that can be created by wrapping a scarf around your face, another one that adorns the back of a hood on a hooded shirt, and their signature Shin Murayama masks to tie it all together. In addition, Dolman cardigans and sweaters are deconstructed and fused back together by hand with embroidery stitching. While that’s happening, they’re also pulling inspiration from classic military garb with this vest, taking cues from the U.S. military’s so-called “Happy Suit,” with its nylon body and 3M THINSULATE lining. This parka is rounding out the military notions, with USAF CWU (Cold Weather Uniform)-8/P and MA-1 details; it also features a removable hood while layers of nylon and polyester juxtapose each other to form the body fabrication.
