Established in 2015, designer Yutaro Miyauchi and his brand Blanc YM strive to create collections focalized on their ethos of “Universality, Diversity, +a.” According to Miyauchi-sans’ concept, standard attire is reworked, proposing minimalist designs that blend into everyday wardrobes for both men and women.
For S/S ’21, the collection flows seamlessly between sexes, with the only distinguishable factor being the type of shoes worn. Colors are kept simple, and patterns are cut graciously, yielding a sophisticated slouchiness aura. Lightweight fabrics are highlighted throughout the collection, most notably taking shape in this trench coat that seems to be fabricated from short-staple cotton, resulting in a crinkled look and body-draping fit.
Items are slowly starting to arrive at select retailers now, like Circus, and other stockists.
