After spending some time designing for fellow Japanese brand MYNE, Kisuke Rousuke ventured out and created his burgeoning label ADANS. The brand concept focuses on the “dance” that transpires when society goes about their daily lives. But it’s the goal of the designer to create clothes that “dance for themselves” and therefore align with the wearers’ values.
When approaching their S/S ’21 campaign, we notice the same youthful designs that define the label. Most fits are cut loose and harken back to the early ’90s. A wide range of materials are utilized—nylon, cotton, polyester, and wool—allowing the collection to feel complete, even with a limited number of looks. This suit is crafted from lightweight gabardine wool, is cut with a broad and slouchy silhouette and finally, emblazoned with an irregular stitch of yarn running downwards. Another stand-out from this season include this button-down shirt that features graphics you’d find in your calculus class, encapsulating the theme of the lookbook with this one piece.
Enjoy the collection above and head over to the brands site to learn more about them.
