I’ve always held an affinity in my heart for a brand that can incorporate aspects of technicality or the utilitarian facet of the outdoors into their designs. Designer Naohiro Fujisaki and his brand meanswhile do a fantastic job, every season, at conveying that message but also creating extremely fashionable outfits/pieces as well. Last season, we saw great examples of that ethos; with their Vacant Land Jacket, with its removable hunting vest and their Function Parka, with its water and oil repellency.
This season, I’m most impressed (from the little that I’ve seen so far) with the fabric and print choices. A majority of the outfits look cozy to the nth degree; like the technical iteration of momohiki pants featured here with a beautifully striped jumper and high-neck detail. And the way that they’ve been able to create their own versions of the traditional Happi coat, signify the level of creativeness within the innerworkings of the brand.
Be on the look-out for the entirety of the collection to release online and in select stockists in the near future.
